JP Morgan Chase Global Philanthropy representatives Georgette Bhathena, Western Region Executive Director, and Jill Blickstein, Head of Strategy for Corporate Responsibility, toured the Linked Learning Alliance headquarters in Sacramento this week. JPMorgan Chase Global Philanthropy is the key funder for LaunchPath, an online tool connecting employers, schools, and students to strengthen our workforce and close the skills gap in California.
Bhathena and Blickstein met with Alliance leadership Christopher Cabaldon, President, Hilary McLean, Executive Vice Preisdent, and Alex Taghavian, Vice President, as well as two Hiram Johnson Business Academy students who recently found internships through LaunchPath. Jose Larios, an incoming senior, is interning with Hanson Consulting Group, and Cha Vang, a senior, is interning with Linked Learning Alliance. Jose and Cha are aiming to use the skills they have learned during their internships this summer to bring back advice and feedback to their classmates, as well as help guide their process as they apply to four year universities to continue their education after earning their high school diplomas.
